Tammy Slaton Flaunts New Weight Loss Milestone With Friends

On August 17, Tammy shared a video from Katlyn Foster. In the clip, there are seven women and each of them has undergone massive physical transformations. The group of friends have all lost a significant amount of weight.

As “Rise Up” by Andra Day plays in the background, Tammy Slaton walks into the frame. The screen revealed that she had lost an astounding 500 pounds. Each of the women joins hands and raises them above their heads. The video reads, “In total we have lost 2,078 lbs.! Weight loss warriors.”

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star reposted the clip and added a caption about reaching such an amazing milestone with her friends. “Truly absolutely amazing ladies and I’m happy to call y’all all my friends,” Tammy wrote. “I’m so proud of each and every one of y’all. Not only are you beautiful on the inside but you’re gorgeous on the outside. Never forget.”

She shared another similar video where a group of women celebrated their weight loss by dancing to “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar. The clip reads, “When people said you would fail but you and your crew lose 2,654 lbs.” Tammy added in the caption, “My girls my new besties.”

The 1000-Lb. Sisters Star Has Massively Improved Her Quality Of Life

Although she enjoys posting to TikTok regularly, she has been relatively quiet on social media lately. However, Tammy Slaton has been able to maintain her weight loss and continue to make progress. In December 2023, it was reported that she’d lost 440 pounds in total. Now, she’s lost another 60 pounds, down to 225 from her highest weight of 725 pounds.

Since her bariatric surgery in July 2022, the 1000-Lb. Sisters star has opened up about her weight loss and how it has been life-changing for her.

“Just being able to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen. I don’t even sleep with it at night anymore,” she said in December. “Then it was being able to fit in a regular vehicle, front seat, and then the belt buckle, and not have to use an extender now. So I mean, just what seems minor to some people is giant for me.”

She’s also shared clips talking about changes in her quality of life. “Before I went to rehab, I was bitter, unhappy, very super suicidal, depressed and just mean,” the TLC star said in a TikTok video.

“I have personally seen a lot of growth in how I treat people and my family. Just my attitude and how happier I seem. I smile a lot more.“ She continued, “I value life now where before I hated it. I hated everything about life. And now, I’m just going with it.”

1000-Lb. Sisters is currently on hiatus but is expected to make its return later this year.
